Vecoplan at IWF, Booth #5635
Visit Vecoplan at IWF 2006, Booth #5635, and discover what the leader in size reduction technology has to offer in the form of new innovations and technologies that keeps Vecoplan at the forefront of the industry.
Innovations such as the launching of a new line of shredders designed for specific applications. The XL line of shredders is designed for large, bulky feedstock. With a larger rotor diameter and taller feed ram, the processing of bulky waste materials has been dramatically improved. Shredder throughput and overall processing efficiency have been increased on materials such as pallets, bales of plastic and paper, lightweight bags of waste and many other large-dimension waste products
The XL package is available on VECOPLAN’S RG32, RG42, RG52 and RG62 U-models. Not only does rotor cutting diameter and feed ram height increase, but so does the effective screen area. The screen is the perforated component that classifies chip and particle size. With a larger circumference, the number of cutting inserts increase also. Together, these design features increase throughput and processing efficiency dramatically. The highest available HP for each model is required for the XL option.
Other innovations include the VH-Series grinders, produced with a choice of cutting rotor designs. All fourteen granulator models are available with a precision drum chipper rotor in 2-4-knife configurations in a moderately open design. The chipper turns at moderate RPM and utilizes sharp knives to produce precise chips. A unique clamping system secures the knives in place and affords many sharpening intervals. If a larger and rougher chip size is acceptable, many of the VH-Series models can be supplied with the patented TorsionPoint shredding rotor. Vecoplan has used this rotor in its vertical feed shredders since 1983 and is the preferred shredding method used in the wood industry today.
