Utilizing a standard, asynchronous motor, and employing a variable frequency drive and digital encoder to monitor and control shredder processing functions, the SpeedMaster™ has many benefits. The most impressive benefits are much lower power consumption as compared to similarly-rated equipment, and as much as twice the processing throughput. The SpeedMaster™ technology provides for full torque control over a wide speed range.  Conventional shredder drives’ motors have a narrow useable speed range with little or no control of actual rotor RPM or torque.  The SpeedMaster™ even delivers high torque at the top end of the speed range, allowing less power, as much as 80% less, to be used to achieve the same results. This control can be achieved manually by the operator or automatically through computerized controls linked to sensors within the machine.  The control possibilities are virtually limitless.
