Paper Slab Shredders
Paper slab shredders are used for shredding large amounts of paper and are generally used in a commercial building or office. Paper slab shredders are made up of very durable metal construction. It is built for hefty and continuous use. Corrugated, cardboard, large paper rolls and paper roll stocks are good examples of what a paper slab shredder can shred and destroy. The large slabs of paper or paper slabs are dropped or sent through a conveyor into a hopper. The next part is the shredder. It can have different types of blades or knifes such as cross cutting blades, that can be sharpened for maximum use. The machine usually runs at a high torque and low speed to make sure the machine doesn't jam and runs in the most efficient way to provide lower labor and maintenance costs. Most paper slab shredders have a jam and reverse safety mechanism in case it does happen to jam. They can also be controlled with an automation system so the operator is at a safe distance from any parts that can be dangerous.
Paper slab shredders can come with or have additional options such as balers, mechanical conveyor belts, dust removing systems, large hoppers and stacks. These additional options can make the job or project more efficient and save costs in the long run. The bailer sorts the shredded paper into smaller bales that can save room. A dust removing system gets rid of the dust and debris for an efficient working machine and cleaner working environment.
