Plastic Granulators
A plastic granulator works by using thousands of evenly spread blades to shred the plastic into finely chopped material. After the plastic is chopped, it can then be melted and reshaped.
The plastic granulator is the most typical kind of pulverizer used in combination with plastic recycling. A plastic granulator can also turn large bottles, and other plastic products into flakes that are also known as granules. Granules are sold to producers to be shaped into new goods.
The plastic granulator machine has an electric motor that rotates a rotor that has cutting blades within a closed part of the machine. The blades and chambers of plastic granulators can come in various shape and sizes for different requirements. Screens sift the plastic to make sure that the pieces are tiny or small enough to reuse. If they don't fit through the screen, then they are reprocessed with the plastic granulator again to go through the screen.
For industrial plastic recycling applications, the plastic granulator has to be very sizeable to process large volumes of plastic. There are more compact plastic granulators that can be used for home applications. But for large volumes, industrial plastic granulators cannot be beat in terms of speed and efficiency.
