Vecoplan VTH Series Drum Chippers are indispensable in the wood processing industry owing to their enormous throughput and wide range of sizes and rotor systems. They are designed to perform a range of tasks, from the production of fuel chips for energy generation through to quality wood chips for the wood pulp industry. In a nutshell, Vecoplan VTH Series Drum Chippers are used in industrial applications where wood chips are required as the starting material for a subsequent production process. With infeed widths of 25 and 34 inches, series VTH 25 drum chippers are stationary machines provided with a horizontal feed unit.

Overview

The VTH 25 is built for the production of high quality wood chips made from short or long pieces of waste wood from the timber sizing and wood processing industry. Two different rotor systems are available which allow for the ideal shredding process in any situation. The first rotor system works with a fast rotating chipping knife for shredding short or long lengths of waste wood, free from tramp material, from the timber sizing and wood processing industry in order to produce a defined homogeneous and continuous wood chip. The second rotor system works with a slow-turning rotor that is designed with a ribbed profile rotor with cutting crowns. Furthermore, a toothed counter knife is used with this version.
